What Is ShoeBloxx?
ShoeBloxx’s tagline is “One Shoe, Infinite Possibilities”, and it is exactly what the tagline says. ShoeBloxx is an awesome concept in shoe design that lets you customize your pair of shoes. The most amazing thing is this is a Malaysian designer from Kuala Lumpur.
The question most of us will have is how can this be done, right? If you can change the soles, how do make sure it does not come apart, especially if you use it as a pair of trainers. That is where their technology comes which you can read more about here – http://doyoushoe.com/
SHOEBLOXX is a trendy, modular detachable footwear which enables the user to have multiple designs layered in a single pair of shoe to be changed seamlessly for any occasion or activities.
ShoeBloxx On Indiegogo
The truth is, this awesome idea is looking for crowdfunding on Indiegogo. If you think this is a great idea, you can help launch this concept. You can own a pair of ShoeBloxx’s basic canvas set (white/black) for a special price of USD20 which is limited to the first 50 backers.
If you are unfamiliar with how Indiegogo works, it is a place where you can crowdfund projects, inventions, charity and great ideas. In this case, you can give USD20 and get a pair of ShoeBloxx, or give other lesser amounts and get acknowledge, along with a gift.
On a separate note, that is how I got my name in printed book that was shipped worldwide. I wrote a page and gave a few USD to support the project. In return, I got a copy of the book. So I know crowd-sourcing works.
ShoeBloxx – Proud To Be Malaysian
It would be great to see this idea take-off and I really hope the inventor, Nurali Rahman Mohamed files a patent or copyright on this. Potentially, this is a million dollar idea.
The cost for a pair when it becomes available in retail stores is less than that of Adidas or Nike. Of course, it won’t have the same level of technology but you cannot customize your branded trainers.
Reduces Your Carbon Footprint
An added bonus is that this product can help reduce your carbon footprint and reduce landfill. If your shoe is modular in design, you will not be throwing them away quite so soon. The soles of shoes get worn down a lot quickly than other parts of the shoes, especially if you workout or run.
